An Access Afya mini-clinic will be the first point of access into the existing healthcare system. Care is close and convenient, reducing barriers to early conversations and questions about health.

Our pilot site will be paperless from day one. We will create an electronic medical record for each patient during their first visit, and update this each time they come in.

Mobile phones can greatly improve the effectiveness of healthcare. We are using texting to remind patients of their appointments, their medication, and to follow-up on referrals that we make. Moreover, we communicate information to expectant and new mothers through SMS.

Our charges are affordable because we use a lean staffing model, efficient management systems, and specialize in simple diagnostics and maternal health.
