We are building a franchise network of primary healthcare clinics delivering high-quality but affordable care with the goal of improving the health of the communities we serve.
We’re doing this through:
-
We partner with local healthcare professionals to co-finance and launch Curafa Medical Clinics within their communities. To date, we've established over 15 franchise clinics, with an average investment of Ksh 2 million per location.
-
Our franchisees gain access to business planning, marketing, and networking support — along with our supply chain and insurance partnerships. We've served over 625,000 patients and maintain a franchise satisfaction score of 85+.
-
Powered by advanced digital tools, our clinics integrate clinical and non-clinical data into a unified platform, enabling smarter, more efficient care. We capture over 150 unique data points and have securely managed 1M+ health records — driving innovation at every touchpoint.
Built on Strong Partnerships
Curafa Medical Clinics has established strong partnerships with key organizations dedicated to improving healthcare access. As a franchisee, you’ll benefit from our trusted network, ongoing support, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community.

As a clinic leader, you'll actively engage with patients and the community, manage a high-performing care team, and ensure exceptional clinic operations. Your role includes building relationships with local leaders and organizations, collaborating with community health workers to understand needs and marketing effectiveness, and driving recruitment, training, and retention of your staff. You'll also analyze financial, business, and service data to plan and implement performance improvements for long-term success.

An initial investment of KES 325,000 covers the franchise license fee. We recommend franchisees have at least KES 435,000 in reserve to cover the first three months of operating costs — providing a buffer until the clinic reaches break-even, which typically occurs within one month but may vary by location.
-
Clinic setup can take up to 30 days, depending on licensing timelines. Franchisees undergo two weeks of intensive training, followed by continuous on-the-job support and ongoing professional development.
-
Franchisees benefit from national advertising campaigns run by Access Afya, supported by a dedicated patient engagement team. To drive local visibility, franchisees receive a Self-Marketing Toolkit, complete with professional materials — including a website, print ads, videos, and an image library. We also provide analytics to track and optimize marketing performance.
-
We provide 65 hours of pre-training and 74 hours of hands-on training for you and your clinic team to ensure you're fully prepared. Our proactive support includes clinical protocols, strategic partnerships, and access to free or discounted supplies during unexpected events, such as COVID-19. You'll also benefit from virtual and in-person peer support meetings, along with bi-monthly Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions covering a wide range of topics.
